I started the day off with one hot coffee and one cold coffee. Ryan ate some roti canai and then we began our morning of retail therapy. Everything was pretty pricy but I found some store with cute clothes for an affordable lump of money and got four dresses and three tops. We wanted to check out the uniqlo but it wasn't going to open for another ten minutes so we stood outside of it and waited anxiously. While we waited, Ryan was approached by the KL tv station to give his comments on how KL could improve as a city. He said they should put more street signs up. About an hour later we made note of the fact that KL is filled with street signs at every turn and he should have said that the change KL needs is for uniqlo to open before 11:00.
I was not altogether pleased with what uniqlo had to offer and I was afraid because it seemed like every 30 seconds the employees would randomly shout out "WELCOME TO UNIQLO" but it wasn't really directed at anyone. They were just shouting it out as they were folding clothes, straightening, etc. It was like they were brainwashed.
I was still on a shopping high from my successful purchases and couldn't stop admiring all the wonderful shopping opportunities before my eyes. Alas, we had a plane to catch so we headed to the airport and flew to Denpasar, Bali.

We arrived in good ol' Denpasar and eventually got a taxi with a wonderful man named Kadek. He was pretty amazing. The drive was long. We stopped to get a pork dinner. I was trying to break this deep fried pig intestine in half and it shot into the air and nearly landed on Kadek's plate. It was weird. I was pretty exhausted but too excited at the prospect of seeing the ocean that I couldn't fall asleep during the ride. We finally made it to Gede Homestay around 11:00pm. Dipped our feets into the warm water then went to bed.
Kadek, we love you man! |
Jon says more pictures of you please!
