After the market, we were driven to Wayan's village where he talked to us about rice paddies and harvesting and how each family is given a rice paddy large enough to provide enough rice for each person of their family. He showed us his beautiful family compound and talked about the traditional Balinese family dynamics, then we started cooking with his wife Puspa in their gorgeous outdoor kitchens! SO FUN! And SO DELICIOUS! Everything was very well organized. I highly recommend Paon Bali Ubud for their cooking class if anyone wants to learn to make Balinese dishes and is in Ubud. You're going to love it!
